Olivia Teja

My name is Olivia Teja.  I began my journey in early childhood education 8 years ago. Before then, I used to work for Microsoft for almost 15 years.  I have Computer Science and Finance as my bachelor’s degree.

I fell in love with early childhood education after I have 2 kids of my own (8 years old Michael & 11 years old Madison).  I am passionate about helping children develop in their early childhood years. I am amazed by their curiosity, humility, generosity and empathy.

I believe that children should have access to an exemplar education. Children should feel safe and have trusting relationship with their teachers. I also believe that every child should be able to express themselves through art, sensory, science, or dramatic play. I strongly believe in play-based learning & I am passionate about helping each child learn as much as possible.

I live in Kirkland, WA with my family.  When I’m not working, or doing schoolwork, you will find me enjoying time with my family – we love watching movies, hiking, and going on trips together.
