Science - Guessing "Sink or Float" Game

Knowing that children love to play game, we will play guessing game of “Will the material sink or float when you drop it to the bucket of water?”
We can ask kids to go around their home to pick 6 materials for our game.
For our game, we got “oranges, apples, broccoli, a coin, a rock, paperclip.
To help with their scientific inquiry mind, we will ask the children to guess if the product will sink or float before we put it into the water. We will also ask why they guess the product will sink/float to help with the inquiry mind.
At the end, we will talk about density of each object that cause it to sink or float.
If the object has more density than water, the object will sink. If the object has less density than water, the object will sink.
Since we and fishes are floating when we swim, that’s mean our density is less than water.
